During the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered as part of a crowd sourcing group to offer research for projects related to the spread of the virus. For this, I drew from my years of experience as a public health researcher at the Center for Multicultural Mental Health Research at the Harvard Medical School. I joined a group of international scholars looking to understand why ethnic and racial minority populations are severely affected by the virus as it spreads. The study will be ongoing throughout 2020 and 2021. Because of my practical skills and experience as a qualitative health researcher, I ventured a bit out of my contemporary interests to offer my services during this global emergency.
